I wasn’t one of those kids that loved to collect rocks. Tadpoles, yes. Caterpillars, yes. Crawdads, yes. Those were alive, and therefore so much more interesting. Rocks — unless they were great big boulders that I could climb on — were just boring.
Or so I thought!
When I began to learn about energy healing, I started to hear about rocks. But not just any kind of rock, special rocks. Pretty rocks. Magical rocks.
Fascinated, I ordered my first set of raw crystals from Amazon, and I bought a rock tumbler. And when they arrived, you know what? I felt something. Some kind of connection. It’s hard to describe, but it just felt like they were so happy to see me! Those first crystals are still some of my favorites.
My red carnelian tumbled into a natural heart. It’s fiery energy motivates me and boosts my creativity.
My tree agate feels so lively. I carry it with me whenever I’m going through an energetic “growth spurt.”
My lapis lazuli has a sweet energy to it. It supports me on my spiritual journeyings.
My sodalite inspires me to speak up. It has held my hand through all of my throat chakra healing. I still use it to help me “say the thing” whenever I go on camera.
My amethyst helps me to stay connected to the divine, even as my understanding of and relationship to the divine changes.
Since that day several years ago, my collection has grown! And so has my knowledge. Crystals have become a very important tool for me in my energy work.
